Hunchy accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to play Hunchy. We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 level AA in the app and on hunchy.club.
What Hunchy offers
- Text size. Follow your phone's text size, or pick your own in Settings → Display → Accessibility. Games and results stay readable up to 200 %.
- High contrast. A high-contrast mode in the same place.
- Reduce motion. Turn animations off, or follow your phone's setting.
- Screen readers. Tiles, keys, buttons and results carry labels for VoiceOver and TalkBack.
- Keyboard. On a computer, every game can be played with a physical keyboard.
- Hebrew and English. The whole app, including right-to-left layout, in both languages.
Known gaps
Some timed games are hard to play with a screen reader or switch control, and some map and picture games depend on seeing the picture. We are working on these.
On Wurdi and Wurdi Extreme tiles and keys, colour alone shows whether a letter is in the right place, elsewhere in the word or not in it. High contrast makes the colours easier to tell apart, and screen readers say each state in words.
Tell us
If something in Hunchy is hard for you to use, write to support@hunchy.club and say what you were trying to do and which device you use. We answer within a few days and fix what we can.
